...Writing fantasy and living the reality of a tropical environmentalist
About Me
- Glenda Larke
- Malaysia
- My life has been described by one of my editors as “impossibly exotic” – although really it is not my life, but me, that’s the exotic. I’m the uprooted plant, the exotic who doesn’t belong, always living in someone else’s backyard...
An Australian living in Malaysia. Writer, traveler, environmentalist. Author of The Isles of Glory trilogy (The Aware, Gilfeather, The Tainted); The Mirage Makers trilogy (Heart of the Mirage, The Shadow of Tyr, Song of the Shiver Barrens) and, writing as Glenda Noramly, a stand-alone book Havenstar. The latest trilogy is called The Watergivers in Australia and the Stormlord trilogy elsewhere: THE LAST STORMLORD, STORMLORD RISING, STORMLORD'S EXILE

Way to go Glenda. Hope all my mentions have helped
Absolutely, Jo! I really appreciate those who not only like my books, but who go on to tell other people. Pure gold...
Great news!
And I have my book group reading it this month. ;-)
Thanks, Amy! Hope they enjoy it...
Does 'second printing' mean there are now 2 books issued in the US?.
Just kidding.
Congratulations Glenda - a well deserved success in a tough market for SFF.
Sure hope it means more than 2, Peter! But as I haven't the faintest clue how many copies were printed first time around...lol
Brilliant.
Amazing! Wonderful! And well deserved! Great read!
Woot!
And you know that none of us who have already read it are the least bit surprised.
Oh, I dunno, Webfaery - I noticed one comment somewhere or another by someone who said that they stopped after the first 100 pages because nothing happened*, and yet another reader stopped because they didn't care about the characters... No matter what the book, an author can't please everyone!
* I think they must have missed the zigger murder, the stealing of the storm, the flood and near drowning, a father's abuse of his young son, the marriage proposal and its rejection...all of which happened in the first 100 pages!!!!
