We had a dear friend visit us from the UK, which is what prompted us to take a few days off. It started with a long trip across Johor state to the small town of Mersing, where we were to take a ferry. And, of course, as she is a durian lover, one had to stop along the way to buy the world's smelliest, prickliest fruit. Not to mention the mangosteens that are always in season at the same time.

They sell Dragon Fruit here but I have never tried it. I don't suppose it is nearly as good as fresh local fruit. I've heard of durian many times but never eaten it of course. The stink wouldn't worry me - no sense of smell.
Looks like you had a good time. Always nice to take a break.
wow ! i've never seen the dragon fruit trees before !they look like big cactus, how strange! but i've been eating some it's delicious !
I find the fruit very bland myself. Love the colour though!
