- My life has been described by one of my editors as “impossibly exotic” – although really it is not my life, but me, that’s the exotic. I’m the uprooted plant, the exotic who doesn’t belong, always living in someone else’s backyard...
An Australian living in Malaysia. Writer, traveler, environmentalist. I imagine for don't I should read shouldn't.
Seems to me that if their geographical roles were reversed, the US would be doing exactly the same thing ... but they'd call it securing their border against the threat of the Middle East and Islam, and protecting the interests of the world fuel trade, or some such spin.
Jo, do you think Americans have the concept of irony?
Doubt it.

Jo & Hrugaar: Of course we don't. And we're all alike, just like all you Brits are all alike. (eyeroll)
